Fishing
Lake Sutherlin
About Benjamin Haugan
My name is Benjamin Haugan and I was reared in White Sulphur Springs, but now reside in the heart of the Little Belt Mountains, Neihart. I share all love and passion for fishing with my friends and family. I pursue respect for habitat with catch and release, as well as longevity of resources through conscious harvest. My reports will encompass all aspects of fishing including bait and lure, however I find most happiness with fly fishing.

Trolling with cyclones and rapala’s working great. Late evening a whole lot of activity on surface, but no luck. I tried very small caddis and royal wolf, but I plan to return to see how to take advantage of great surface activity.

I have not fly fished here this year, but the trolling has been good with Cyclones, Fighting Fish, and various Rapalas. From shore, I did have luck with worms and marshmallows. Primarily Rainbow Trout, good eaters.
