About Benjamin Haugan
My name is Benjamin Haugan and I was reared in White Sulphur Springs, but now reside in the heart of the Little Belt Mountains, Neihart. I share all love and passion for fishing with my friends and family. I pursue respect for habitat with catch and release, as well as longevity of resources through conscious harvest. My reports will encompass all aspects of fishing including bait and lure, however I find most happiness with fly fishing.

Accessed creek from Sluice Box State Park, great water flows, great temperatures, but very little surface activity. Did not land any fish, but was getting hits on small bead pattern such as Zug Bug and Prince Nymph.

Water clarity and temperatures are good. Enjoy small caddis or a mosquito pattern in latter evening. Early morning best luck with a Bead Head Hare’s Ear or Prince Nymph. Smaller Brook Trout and Cutthroat Trout beginning to become active. Fishing on the upper, upper portion seemed slower than normal which might be a another result of high water.
