Christmas Stroll, 2011 -- "Home for the Holidays" and the Parade of Lights

This year, the Parade of Lights and the Christmas Stroll will be on two separate evenings.

The annual Parade of Lights will be Friday, November 25, beginning at 6 p.m. The parade will begin at 6th St and Central Ave. and proceed down Central, culminating at the Civic Center, where Santa will light up the city's Christmas Tree.

The Christmas Stroll will be the following Friday, December 2, 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. The theme for this year's Stroll is "Home for the Holidays." The Christmas Stroll coincides with the First Friday Artwalk on the first Friday in December. The Stroll, including food vendors and musical entertainment, will be all along Central Avenue from 6th Street to the Civic Center. The Children's Museum of Montana (22 Railroad Square, right behind the Civic Center) will be open to the public for a "free night" on December 2, and will host Santa Claus and Santa's Village for children, including lots of fun activities for kids. The Polar Plunge will be 7:00 p.m. and located at 8th Street and Central. The Plunge benefits Special Olympics of Montana. For more information call or visit our website.
