Liberty County Museum
Chester was originally a stop over for the nearest railroad shipyard in North Dakota. When the Great Northern Railroad arrived in 1907, the whole town was forced to move to the south side of the tracks in order to straighten a bend in the tracks. The Liberty County Museum includes a display of general store, a one-room schoolhouse, Native American artifacts, and farm, ranch and railroad equipment.
Admission is free and donations are accepted.
