Pine Butte Guest Ranch
The Nature Conservancy's Pine Butte Guest Ranch is located on the majestic East Front of the Rockies, right alongside the lovely South Fork of the Teton River. The ranch offers all the fun of a traditional guest ranch vacation, along with on-site nature study. But, this isn't "take your medicine" learning! You'll hike and ride horses into the spectacular wild lands that surround the ranch, accompanied by our expert naturalist. Whether sorting out the names of the wildflowers that carpet the high country, taking note of signs of grizzly bears or spotting wildlife through your field glasses, our guests are so inspired that many return year after year. There are also cookouts and visits to a neighboring cattle ranch. You may even help harvest the night's meal from our on-site garden or greenhouse. But don't worry, you'll have plenty of time to relax by our sparkling, solar-heated pool or in the privacy of your cozy cabin. Driving Directions
Pine Butte Guest Ranch is located on the South Fork Teton Road. 28 miles west of Choteau, Montana. Take US Highway 89 north out of Choteau approximately 5 miles, midway between mileposts 46 and 57, turn left onto paved Teton River Road. Follow the road west for 17 miles, take a left off the paved road (watch for the sign to Pine Butte Guest Ranch) onto a gravel road. Go approximately 0.3 mile and take a right you will have just crossed a bridge. Go 3 miles up this road just before the next bridge you enter the ranch.
