Martin RanchMuch more than just a destination on the way to Glacier Park, the Martin Ranch is great for those wanting a tailor-made family-oriented working ranch vacation at any time during the year. Bruce, Kelly and sons Cutter (15) and Kesler (12) are involved in the ranching and farming operation. The boys train their 4-H horses and are involved in school sports in their spare time. When daughters Mikel (19) and Kiley (18) are home from college, it is a lively household. The spirit of the ranch is one of camaraderie and friendship and there are diverse activities available. What ever you decide to do, you are in good hands. The Martins have a cattle ranch with a mountain grazing permit and they raise spring and winter wheat, farming on productive land in Pondera County near Conrad, Montana, just an hour southeast of Glacier Park. There are seven grown children in Kelly's family and all are involved in production agriculture in Montana. A number of them market their cattle under the DeBruycker name which is well-known in the Montana beef industry. They hold a reputation Charolais Bull Sale held each spring, likely the largest Charolais bull sale anywhere. Choose from a variety of on-ranch ad off-ranch activities: There is no shortage of things to do and be a part of and to photograph. Choose the seasonal ranch activities that interest you beginning with spring calving and branding, ride herd health in the summer, fall weaning begins the selection process for choosing the genetics for the next spring's bull sale. Kelly's interests include photography and she has great suggestions for 'Kodak moments' as folks go about their daily ranch chores. Grandpa DeBrucker is always happy to talk horse racing and he likes to show off his yearlings to folks who share his passion for horses. Visit Hutterite German ranching communities nearby to the Martin Ranch. Enjoy Glacier Park on your own or visit there with the Martins. Rodeos are not just an event here; they are part of the culture beginning with the Whoop Up! the third weekend in May. The lodging accommodations are: Guest rooms (with designated private bathroom) in the big ranch house. Option to stay in the camper-trailer if you want to get away from it all. Vacation home rental family packages available. Working ranching vacation packages are $200 per person per day and are inclusive. Activities
barbecue, bicycling, bird watching, camping, cattle drive, horseback riding, nature, photography, walking, wildlife viewing
