Havre Residential and Downtown Historic District Tours

High Line Heritage Resources warmly welcomes you to Havre and Hill County! You are invited to experience a taste of the Old West and see where vice and virtue lived and worked side by side to create the High Line's largest community!

The best way to experience this rich and broad history is by taking one of several guided walking tours offered by High Line Heritage Resources. Learn how the people who built this area lived, worked, played and dreamed through a great tour complete with carefully researched scripts and exclusive photographs. There are three tours of the Residential historic District, a tour of Old Downtown Havre, and a Combination Historic Homes and Old Downtown Stroll to choose from. Cost for all Residential and Old Downtown Havre hour-long tours are $6 for adults and children under 10 free with accompanying adult. The Combination Stroll is an hour and a half long and costs $10 for adults and children under 10 are free with accompanying adult. All tours are available by appointment and are conducted throughout the year, weather permitting. Group and school rates are available. Tours are not conducted on certain holidays; please call for details.

High Line Heritage Resources is Hill County's best source for historic preservation, tourism and museum services. Information on structures, photographs, well-received programs, visitor information, packets for individual and groups and research are a few services that are offered. If you are looking for someone to arrange tours at Hill County visitor sites, we can do that for you, too!

A free newsletter, Our Shared Heritage, is available monthly at the Clack Museum and Havre Beneath the Streets/Frank DeRosa Railroad Museum. Also sponsored are the annual Havre/Hill County Historic Preservation Award, biennial Prettiest Porch Award, several Historic Preservation Month activities and a Sculpture and Public Art Tour Map.
