Liberty County Chamber's Cruise Night/Poker Run

The Liberty County Chamber's Cruise Night/Poker Run will begin Friday evening at 5pm. Each participant will draw one poker card during check-in at each designated stop along the Hi-Line, with one dealt at the final destination--the Sock Hop at the Liberty Village Arts Center in Chester. (Pre-registration for the Joplin Car show on Saturday wins a bonus card for the Poker Run.) Drop boxes for the final poker hands will be set up Friday night at the Liberty Village Arts Center and at the Joplin Car Show registration desk at the Wood Enterprises Building in Joplin on Saturday morning. Special prizes will be awarded at the end of the Cruise. Awards for the best poker hands will be presented during the Joplin Car Show.

To take part in the Cruise Night Poker Run, pre-register before 4:00pm, June 13 at the Chamber of Commerce office located at 30 Main Street in Chester or late registration begins at 4:15pm with line up promptly at 5:15 at advertised location. Participants are scheduled to leave at 5:15pm and make several stops from Rudyard and back to Chester. Cars will park at each location for a half hour. The Cruise will reach the final destination, the Liberty Village Art Center, at 7:00pm just in time to enjoy the 50s Sock Hop Block Party. Entry fees are $10 per driver and $5 per passenger. Drivers or passengers under 18 years old must have a parent or guardian sign the registration and release form.

The Chamber invites everyone to join in on the fun. Load up your car, pickup, RV, or motorcycle. It doesn't matter if it is old, new or in-between; if it can make it to Rudyard and back, enter it. Call the Liberty County Chamber Office at 759-4848 for more information.
