Christmas Parade and Stroll

The annual Big Sandy Christmas Stroll & Parade of Lights is a community wide celebration. This event is filled with shopping and open houses at various businesses. Special events for all ages slated to highlight the stroll, breakfast with Santa for youngsters eight and under, free photos with Santa with each child photographed receiving a complimentary 8x10 colored photo courtesy of the chamber, a Christmas candy - Christmas cookie baking and decorating contest, Christmas wreath decorating contest and auction, and a caroling hayride for kids old and young alike.
Local merchants, individuals and organizations create holiday themed floats for the Parade of Lights at sundown, then it's into the Community Hall for the drawings of hundreds and hundreds of dollars worth of prizes donated by the businesses and the Chamber.
